Where trading companies lose money
The problems we are usually called in to fix
Stock nobody trusts
The system says one number, the warehouse says another, and sales promise goods that are already committed elsewhere.
Margins that are guesses
Freight, customs duty and clearing sit in separate expense lines, so the true cost of each item, and the true margin on each sale, is never known.
Orders retyped three times
A quote in one tool, an order in a spreadsheet and an invoice in the accounting system, each retyped and each a chance for error.
Receivables that drift
Customers keep ordering past their limit, statements go out late, and overdue balances surface only at month end.
What the system does
Every step from supplier to customer, on one set of data
Purchasing and imports
Purchase orders in any currency, vendor bills matched to receipts, and freight, duty and clearing charges allocated to items by quantity or value as landed cost.
Runs on Zoho Inventory and Zoho Books
Warehouses and stock
Stock by warehouse and location, batch and serial tracking with expiry dates, transfers between sites, barcode scanning and reorder points.
Runs on Zoho Inventory
Sales and pricing
Quotes, sales orders, backorders and drop shipments, with price lists by customer or volume, and orders taken by sales reps on their phones.
Runs on Zoho Inventory and Zoho CRM
Delivery and invoicing
Pick lists, packages and shipments from the order, then an invoice that carries the VAT and goes out as a UAE e-invoice or a ZATCA invoice in Saudi Arabia.
Runs on Zoho Inventory and Zoho Books
Credit control
Credit limits that stop an order before it ships, automatic payment reminders, customer statements and an aging view of what is owed.
Runs on Zoho Books
Dashboards
Margin by item, customer and salesperson, slow-moving and aging stock, and receivables, in one management view.
Runs on Zoho Analytics

Trusted by trading companies in the UAE

See how Black Clover replaced a fragmented point-of-sale setup with one Zoho ERP across six shops and a warehouse, covering inventory, accounting, VAT and its Shopify store.
See it on trading data
The demo runs on a trading company's data: an import arriving with its landed cost, stock moving between warehouses, a sales order checked against a credit limit, the delivery, the e-invoice and the dashboards a managing director would look at on Monday morning.
Frequently asked questions
Which ERP suits a trading or distribution company in the UAE?
One that holds stock, purchasing, sales, finance and VAT on the same data, handles landed cost on imports and is ready for UAE e-invoicing. For most small and mid-sized trading and distribution companies, a Zoho ERP built on Zoho Inventory, Zoho Books and Zoho CRM covers this. We confirm the fit at the assessment, before you commit.
Can it handle several warehouses and branches?
Yes. Stock is held by warehouse, with transfers between sites, and each branch can have its own reporting while the books stay consolidated.
How is landed cost calculated?
Freight, customs duty, insurance and clearing charges are added to the purchase and allocated to the items received, by quantity or by value. The item cost, and so the margin on every sale, then includes them.
Can we track batches, serial numbers and expiry dates?
Yes. Items can be tracked by batch with manufacturing and expiry dates, or by serial number, from the moment they are received until they are sold or returned.
Does it handle UAE VAT, e-invoicing and Saudi ZATCA?
Yes. Invoices carry the VAT and file into the FTA VAT return. Zoho is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Finance as an e-invoicing Accredited Service Provider, so UAE e-invoices are exchanged from inside the system, and for Saudi entities Zoho Books is compliant with ZATCA Phase 2.
Can it connect to our online store or marketplaces?
Yes. Zoho Inventory connects to Shopify and other online channels, so online orders reduce the same stock and post to the same books. Black Clover runs its Shopify store this way.
How long does it take, and what does it cost?
We go live in phases, usually finance and stock first, then sales and credit control. Licenses are Zoho's published price; implementation is quoted after the assessment, sized to your warehouses, entities and data.
