CIO as a Service

Most organizations need someone accountable for IT long before they need a full-time Chief Information Officer. IT Enablers Global provides that role as a service: a senior IT leader who sets direction, governs spend and vendors, and represents IT to your leadership team, for as much of the month as your organization actually needs.

The Gap It Fills

Technology decisions without a technology leader

In most organizations, technology decisions are made by whoever is closest to them. Finance renews the licenses, operations chooses a system, and an IT manager keeps everything running but is rarely asked where the organization is going. Each decision is reasonable on its own. Together they produce overlapping software, contracts nobody reviews and projects that start before anyone has asked whether they should.

A CIO closes that gap by treating technology as a business function with a plan, a budget and an owner, rather than as a support desk. For organizations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia that are not ready for a full-time executive, we provide that leadership as a managed service.

When Organizations Call Us

The moments this role pays for itself

Your IT lead has left

Interim leadership keeps operations and projects moving while you decide what the permanent role should be, then supports the hire and a clean handover.

A major system decision is due

An ERP, a CRM or a move to the cloud is a commitment of several years. Someone on your side scopes it, runs the selection and holds vendors to what they promised.

A project has stalled

Late, over budget or quietly abandoned. We give leadership an honest account of where it stands, a recovery plan and one person accountable for getting it live.

IT spend keeps rising

Subscriptions, licenses and support contracts reviewed line by line, duplicates consolidated and renewals renegotiated before they renew automatically.

Someone is asking hard questions

An auditor, a bank, an investor or a regulator wants to see IT policies, access control, backup, continuity and data protection. We put them in place and document them.

Leadership wants to use AI

The pressure to act is real and the options are confusing. We separate the use cases worth funding from the ones that are not, and sequence them against everything else on the roadmap.

Three Ways to Engage

Sized to the situation you are in

Interim CIO

For a gap between leaders. We assess quickly, keep operations and projects on course, and set a direction the permanent hire can inherit rather than undo.

Turnaround CIO

For IT that has lost the confidence of the business. We diagnose what is failing, reset priorities and vendor relationships, and rebuild delivery around projects that finish.

Ongoing CIO

For organizations that need senior IT leadership permanently, but not full time. A regular seat in leadership meetings, a roadmap, governance and budget ownership, on a fixed monthly fee.

What the Role Covers

Everything a CIO owns, without the full-time cost

  • Strategy and roadmap. A technology plan tied to business goals, usually three years, revisited as the organization changes.
  • Governance. Policies, standards and a regular steering rhythm, so decisions are made once and made well.
  • Budget and vendors. Ownership of the IT budget, contracts, renewals and vendor performance.
  • Security and risk. Access control, backup, continuity, information security and data protection.
  • Team leadership. Direction for internal IT staff and outsourced providers, and a successor developed where one is wanted.
  • Leadership reporting. Technology represented at management and board level, in the language of the business.

What the Research Says

Why IT now needs a leader, not just a manager

Frequently asked questions

How much time does the CIO spend with us?

It is agreed at the start and sized to what you need: a regular on-site presence, a seat in leadership meetings and availability in between. Time rises during a major project or a difficult period and falls back afterwards, and you only pay for the capacity the engagement is set up for.

How is it priced?

As a managed service on a fixed monthly fee for an agreed scope, not by the hour. The fee is set after an initial conversation about what you need, and the minimum term is three months, so there is enough time to deliver something that matters.

How does an engagement start?

With an assessment of your systems, contracts and spend, your team, your risks and what leadership expects from technology. It produces a prioritized plan, and the engagement then delivers against it.

We already have an IT manager. Is this for us?

Often, yes. An IT manager keeps technology running. A CIO decides where it should go and answers for it to leadership. The roles work well together, and the IT manager gains a clearer mandate and someone senior to learn from.

Why not hire a full-time CIO instead?

If your organization needs a CIO every day, you should, and we will help you hire one. Many organizations do not. A shared CIO gives you the same judgment for the time you actually need, without recruitment, salary, benefits or a long notice period, and can start far sooner than a senior hire usually takes.

You are a Zoho and Microsoft partner. Is the advice independent?

We say plainly that we implement Zoho and Microsoft, and we recommend them only where they fit. When a recommendation would lead to work for us, we tell you so, and you are free to run the selection with other providers. The CIO's job is to protect your interests, including from us.

What happens when we are ready for a permanent CIO?

We help define the role and assess candidates, then hand over the roadmap, contracts, documentation and open decisions, so the new leader starts with the full picture rather than a blank page.
